Description

The Philips Azurion 5 is a modern single-plane angiography platform designed for complex vascular, cardiac, and endovascular interventions. It integrates high-quality imaging, intelligent automation, and an ergonomic workflow to enhance cath lab efficiency and procedural consistency.
The Azurion 5 features a new 20-inch (29 × 40 cm) flat-panel detector, delivering a wide field of view with high spatial resolution. This enables visualization of the entire coronary tree, aortic valve, or aortic arch in a single image—reducing the need for repeat acquisitions. The compact C-arm design provides a full range of projection angles, including challenging views such as the “spider” view.
A key feature of the system is the Instant Parallel Working concept: clinical teams can perform parallel tasks seamlessly—for example, while the physician performs the intervention at the table, the operator in the control room can review prior studies, prepare the next exam, or finalize reports—all without interrupting the ongoing procedure.
